WNPX-LD 24 Off the Air

- Posted April 13th, 2024 at 1:45am
I don't know if anybody receives this channel or not, but I just found through FCC filings that WNPX-LD channel 24 which broadcasts east of Franklin, TN has been off the air since April 11th. Just to clarify, this station has nothing to do with full power station WNPX 28. In the filing, They said,

"It appears the transmitter was hit by lightning. When I went in there yesterday, I found the power amplifier making a horrible screaming sound and not outputting anything. We are pulling the amplifier and getting it repaired so the station is now off-the-air. We will get it repaired and back on the air ASAP. "

So, for anybody that watches this station, they will be off the air for an undetermined amount of time. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

Any information on 17.3 Antenna TV? Lately, I live in Dickson, I get a black screen with "low power" message. No issues with 17.1 and 17.2.

I have checked 17.3 and no low power signal is there when I went to it. It may have just been a temporary issue on WZTV's end.

17.3 broadcast an Unstable Signal or Low Signal screen off and on throughout the day. Must be coming from their feed.

That's probably the case.

WPGD out of Nashville is offline for me. I cannot see it on any of my antennas.
